Suffolk Youth 5 Nascot Wood 0
Bushey League Cup U11s
Suffolk travelled to Watford for their League Cup match against Nascot Wood on Sunday and turned in a fine team performance winning 5-0.
Sam Hazell in goal had to make a smart save early on, as the ball skimmed off the wet surface. Danny Woolveridge broke the deadlock after ten minutes when he slotted home after Sam Dove's initial shot was pushed out. Ricky Weymouth added a second when he reacted first as the defence hesitated to run through and score.
Lloyd Pelling and Niall Hardiman were dominant in defence as Nascot Wood tried to re-enter the match. Fellow defender Craig Walker even had time to score at the other end, latching onto a beautiful defence-splitting pass from Hardiman.
In the second half Ross Hanley slotted home from a Danny Fitzgerald pass as Suffolk dominated play. Jack Dyer was unlucky with a dipping shot which went just over before Hanley latched onto a David O'Sullivan cross to hit home number five.
Suffolk Falcons in the White Division got back on the winning track with a fine 4-1 victory over Harvesters North on Sunday. Kevin Mayers hit two, one from 30 yards. Lloyd Willingham and Mat Hudson also scored.
