Sandhurst Town 1 Boreham Wood Reserves 2 . . .

Suburban League . . .

Wood dominated the early exchanges and had a huge amount of possession throughout the match.

However, it looked like it would be one of those days, as a mistake after 20 minutes gifted Sandhurst Town an undeserved lead going into half-time.

Wood began the second half very strongly, and continued to pass the ball around with style, but still lacked that cutting edge.

Chances started to come, as wood began to threaten and the equaliser duly arrived with 12 minutes remaining, when Tyler Forde rounded the keeper and slotted home from a tight angle.

A thoroughly deserved winner arrived as wood continued to press. A great move ended with Jamie McCarthy pulling the ball back for the ever dangerous Inhi Effiong to coolly slot home.

Strong performances from experienced skipper Shane Bambridge and the impressive Emmanual Otira ensured that all three points would be coming back to the Wood.

Wood: Sam King, Joel Dawes, Luke Williams, Emmanual Otira, Rakim Curtis, Jamie McCarthy, Shane Bambridge, Kabir, Inhi Effiong, Youw, Subs: Kaz (replaced Kabir after 60 mins), Reece Shirley-Clarke (replaced Joel Dawes after 70 mins).
