Boreham Wood fought their way into the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup in Northwood, with a magnificent footballing display on Sunday morning.
Early pressure from Wood led to Luke O'Malley scoring direct from a corner and when Sun Postal waited for a whistle that never came, John Davis put Wood two up.
In the second half Sun launched a ferocious fight-back, and with 15 minutes left on the clock they pulled a goal back. Richard Russell and Nick Martin responded well to the threat of the Watford side and, along with Iain Whitlock and Jamie Kehoe, did enough in defence to make sure that Sun could not equalise.
