If the bookmakers are to be believed, then there is a straight Spanish-speaker shoot-out to be the next head coach of Watford.
Diego Alonso remains the favourite, but his price has drifted in the last 24 hours.
From being a very firm 1/2 favourite, the former Uruguayan national team coach has now drifted out and is 2/1.
Meanwhile, Garcia Pimienta – the Spaniard who guided Las Palmas to promotion to La Liga in 2023 – only entered the market yesterday 10/1 but by this morning his price had shortened to just 3/1.
The next shortest in the market is Jose Rojo Martin, the man known as Pacheta who was linked with replacing Tom Cleverley back in January.
It’s understood there were work permit problems back then, and although he is 5/1 in the market it seems unlikely that those issues have been fixed.
Former QPR manager Marti Cifuentes has shortened slightly and is now 6/1, although he has been widely tipped to be the next West Bromwich Albion boss and is 4/1 third favourite to head to The Hawthorns.
The only other name whose price is shortening in the next Watford head coach market is former boss Sean Dyche.
The former Hornets defender – who managed the club during the 2011/12 season – has been out of work since being sacked by Everton in January.
His price is now 10/1 but a return to Vicarage Road to work for an owner who sacked him when he bought the club seems fanciful.
There have been no new names added to the market recently and the only other contenders quoted at single-figure prices are Englishman Will Still (8/1), who is currently head coach at Lens, and current Hornets coach Alberto Garrido (8/1).
Meanwhile, Cleverley remains second favourite at 5/1 to become the new manager of QPR, and is also quoted at 20/1 to be the next Norwich boss.
