Goals from Bruno Andrade, Morgan Ferrier and Kane Smith ensured Boreham Wood reached the National League play-offs with a 3-1 defeat of Guiseley.

Luke Garrard’s men made the perfect start to the clash against their already-relegated opponents and were ahead when Andrade smashed home his 20th of the season in the third minute.

Breathing space was secured soon after as Ferrier scored from close range and Wood looked set for a comfortable afternoon at Meadow Park.

However, a fortunate deflection broke kindly for Dayle Southwell and he converted to bring Guiseley within one goal just after the 20 minute mark.

Any fears of a shock comeback were alleviated in the 69th minute thanks to Smith’s curling effort, which made sure of a fourth-place league finish for the Wood.

Wood can now plan for a play-off home meeting with AFC Fylde on Thursday which kicks off at 7pm.
