Boreham Wood boss Luke Garrard hopes to have injured duo Danny Uchechi and Anthony Jeffrey back for Monday's Bank Holiday clash at home to Maidstone United (3pm kick-off).

Attacking midfielder Uchechi has yet to make his debut for the club thanks to a thigh injury sustained in pre-season. Jeffrey, meanwhile, was injured in the warm-up at York City a fortnight ago.

"Possibly Danny Uchechi and AJ [could be involved against Maidstone]," said Garrard.

"I'm hoping to add them both to the squad but it depends on how they got on today with the physio. They were kept behind at the club today."

The Wood boss was also able to confirm that striker Morgan Ferrier should be fit to face the Stones after suffering a dead leg in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Gateshead.

Centre-back David Stephens is still a mid-to-long-term absentee after suffering a fracture of the metatarsal.

Maidstone will arrive at Meadow Park on Monday off the back of a 4-1 thumping at home to Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.

And Garrard insists maximum point against the Kent outfit will cap a good Bank Holiday weekend for his side.

He said: "I said to the boys afterwards that to make this point more important they need to get themselves a result on Monday.

"Ideally that's three points because then that's four points over a Bank Holiday which I would have taken all day long."

Jay Saunders' side, who reached the National League by beating Kent rivals Ebbsfleet United on penalties in the National League South Play-Off Final, have made a mixed start to life at the top table of non-league football.

They drew 1-1 with recently-relegated York City on the opening day before losing 1-0 at Aldershot Town. Back-to-back wins over Chester and Braintree Town were then followed by consecutive defeats to Tranmere Rovers and FGR.
