Boreham Wood have been handed an away tie against League Two Northampton Town in the FA Cup second round – if they beat Northwich Victoria in a replay first.
The draw was made this evening at Civil Service FC, a founding member of the Football Association.
And Luke Garrard’s men were pitched against Northampton, a side they have never faced before. The Cobblers won 2-1 at former tennants Coventry City in round one.
The Wood secured their place in the hat for round two by drawing 1-1 at Northern Premier League Premier Division outfit Northwich on Saturday with Junior Morias rescuing the tie for the visitors.
The ties will be played over the weekend of Friday, December 4 to Monday, December 7 and there is £27,000 awaiting the winner of every tie in prize money.
Wood host the Vics in their first round replay on Monday, November 16.
