Cheerleaders from the NFL appeared at supermarket today to promote American football.
The five cheerleaders from the Miami Dolphins were at Tesco, in Shenley Road, Borehamwood, to promote the National Football League (NFL) in the UK.
Ashley, Candi, Kylee, Lauren J and Natalie D appeared at the store in the afternoon, performing a short routine for shoppers and then signing autographs and posing for photos.
Candi, who has been a cheerleader for the team for three years, said: “The trip to the UK has been amazing. It’s just so different to the US.
“I love the architecture here and there so much history. I’ll definitely be coming back, there’s so much more to see of England.”
The cheerleaders have been in the UK promoting the NFL ahead of a game at Wembley Stadium in October and to launch a competition giving people the chance to win a trip to watch a game in San Francisco or Miami.
Carrie Luxembourgh from NFL UK said: “The interest in American football is really growing in this country and there is a big demand for tickets.”
After visiting Borehamwood, the cheerleaders will have the night off and said they are hoping to have fish and chips for their evening meal.
