MORE than 160 people met the Metropolitan Police Commissioner at a public event in Harrow last night.
People living in Barnet, Brent and Harrow met Bernard Hogan-Howe at Harrow High School, in Gayton Road, to question him about policing in their boroughs.
The event was also attended by Brent borough commander Matthew Gardner and Harrow borough commander, Chief Superintendant Dal Babu.
The commissioner addressed questions from the public which ranged from closure of police stations, Safer Neighbourhoods officer numbers, hate crime investigations and how the Olympics would affect policing in their boroughs.
He said: "The event was very well attended and gave me the chance to hear about what we are doing well and what areas of policing are concerning the community. I'm looking forward to continuing the events across the boroughs and making myself accessible to more of London's residents."
