PUPILS from a school in Kingsbury will raise money to help disadvantaged children in Malawi and South India.

The six students, aged 15 and 16, from Kingsbury High School, in Princes Avenue, are raising money for charity Wings of Hope working under the name Team Dynamic.

The group will hold bake sales and raffle draws and are working with Roe Green Junior School, also in Princes Avenue, to help raise money.

Pupil Manish Thakrani said: “We think it’s important to raise money for those less fortunate then us, as we realise that every pound we raise will make a major difference to one child’s life.

“As we were raising money for a children’s charity we have felt a deeper connection with it, as the charity helps aid children into education.

“We feel that without an education one cannot aspire to big things in life. We also feel that education can help these developing countries develop faster and enable poverty to decrease across the globe.”
