BUDDING artists are encouraged to enter the council’s annual competition to design its official Christmas card.
The competition, which is open to youngsters living in Hertsmere aged 11 and under, launched at the start of the month and runs until Friday, October 21.
The winning designer will be awarded a £50 gift voucher, while second and third place receive a £30 and £20 voucher.
All three finalists will also be invited to a certificate presentation with the Mayor of Hertsmere at the Civic Offices, in Elstree Way, in November.
Mayor of Hertsmere Cllr Peter Knell, who will choose the winning entry, said: “I am very much looking forward to judging the competition and seeing the creative designs that children come up with.
“We have had hundreds of entries in previous years so it really is quite a tough competition, so good luck to you all.”
All entries should be no more than A4 size and must be produced in pencil, pen and ink, paints or crayons.
Send completed designs to Corporate Communications, Christmas Card Competition, Hertsmere Borough Council, Civic Offices, Elstree Way, Borehamwood, WD6 1WA.
