A WOMAN who lied about living in cramped conditions to try to get a new home from Hertsmere Council has been fined.
Adedayo Soyemi, 30, told housing officers she was being forced to share a bedroom with her three children for the past eight years in Danziger Way.
But it transpired she actually lived in Luton, and had only stayed in the property in Borehamwood – a friend’s house - for a week.
Soyemi was hauled before Watford magistrates on Friday, October 7, and admitted lying on her housing application form.
She was ordered to pay an £800 fine, plus £200 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
