Regarding the planning application submitted to add two additional retail outlets to the shopping park, I would like to offer my support to Caroline Cooney and the residents of Clarendon Road (‘No through road’, Borehamwood & Elstree Times, September 23).
Like the residents of Clarendon Road, my house is also close to the shopping park and I can confirm problems with delivery trucks and other vehicles using the service road outside the permitted delivery times.
My wife and I have been in contact with the management of the park and the main culprit Marks and Spencer on a number of occasions and regretfully all we get from them is lip service.
Based on the current behaviour of the tenants and management of Borehamwood Shopping Park I can confirm that should planning permission be granted it will be disastrous not only to the neighbouring roads but to Borehamwood town centre as a whole.
