A GOLF club in Radlett is offering free taster sessions in a drive to get more women involved in the sport.
Porters Park Golf Club, in Shenley Hill, is inviting guests to book an hour slot on Saturday May 7 and May 14.
All equipment is provided, however places are limited to six people at a time and need to be booked in advance.
Following this, the club will start a ladies’ course for beginners involving six weekly one-hour group sessions covering the fundamentals of golf.
Run by David Gleeson, head teaching professional at the club for 23 years, the course is priced at £60 and is open to anyone aged 12 and over. Each participant will be given their own brand new golf club.
Mr Gleeson said: “A round of golf provides exercise in very pleasant surroundings and it gives a welcome escape from the pressures of daily life. These fun sessions will give you an opportunity to try the game. It’s never too late to learn.”
