A BUS company is going back to school as it launches a new project to turn one of its vehicles into a classroom.

The School Bus activity is being run by Arriva Shires and Essex for primary schools around Borehamwood.

The Arriva School Bus will teach children about the environmental benefits of bus travel, as well as how to use and behave on buses.

Linsey Frostick, customer service manager for Arriva Shires and Essex, said: “Bus travel is something that captures the interest of children and we know from experience that many Year Six children will start to use the buses on their own for the first time ,once they leave primary school.

“Therefore we have created the School Bus which will provide a class with a fun, learning experience while communicating the benefits, and etiquette, of bus travel.

“All local primary schools are eligible to apply for the Arriva School Bus, with one lucky school being selected at random.

Schools can visit www.arrivabus.co.uk/schoolbus for more information or email schoolbus@arrivabus.co.uk. The deadline for entries is Sunday, June 20.
