Staff from employment agency Adecco Alfred Marks in Borehamwood have helped raise more than £3,000 for a cancer charity.
The workers dipped deep into their pockets for the Leukamia Research Fund, after being inspired by their colleague Lisa Gray whose six year-old son Adam is receiving treatment for the disease.
Staff raised the money by organising a raffle over the Christmas period and each brought in their own prize to be raffled.
Although they hoped to raise a lot of money they never expected to raise so much, said Lisa.
"We never thought we would raise this much but every penny of it will count in the fight to find a cure for the disease."
Adam is receiving treatment at London's Great Ormond Street Hospital and doctors hope he will finish treatment this summer.
