Borehamwood's £18million leisure centre, The Venue, suffered another set-back this week when roofing tiles were blown off.
The centre's front entrance was fenced off on Monday after roof tiles were blown off in strong winds, and The Venue's builders, HBG Construction Southern, were called back to fix the problem.
Hertsmere Borough Council, which owns the building, was annoyed that the problem had recurred, as builders had spent months fixing the tiles early last year, after the same thing happened in November 2000.
The council may take legal action over The Venue's failed lighting system, and last year announced that it wanted to claim money from its insurance policies to get back the revenue it had lost while the centre's swimming pool was closed.
