HERTS Air Ambulance is hosting its Annual Charity Ball at Sopwell House, St Albans, on Friday, October 16, raising all important funds for the County’s life-saving helicopter.

This year’s ball, being supported by Newsquest, publisher of the Borehamwood & Elstree Times, will have a Carnival theme and Sopwell House will be transformed with palm trees, limbo dancers, reggae and so much more.

The evening, brimming with colourful Mardi Gras atmosphere, will include a cocktail drinks reception, three course meal, plus wine on the table, followed by an exclusive charity raffle and auction and dancing to reggae band, Triple X.

Nikki Caborn of Herts Air Ambulance said: “Following the success of last year’s Fire and Ice Ball, which raised £8,000, we are extremely optimistic that this year’s ball will prove to be a memorable occasion.

“It is a great way to support the Charity and really puts the ‘fun’ into fundraising. I would like to thank everyone who has made this event possible including Sopwell House for supplying the venue and Newsquest, our media partner for their continued support.

It’s going to be a night to remember and the chance for guests to win some amazing prizes.”

The charity is seeking support from the people and businesses of Hertfordshire to donate prizes for the raffle and auction that will take place on the night.

They are also looking for some carnival style entertainment including a steel band, salsa and limbo dancers. Anyone interested in showcasing their talent for a great cause should contact Nikki Caborn on 0845 2417 690.

Tickets cost £70 per person and can be obtained from the Fundraising Office on 0845 2417 690.
