Nearly 75 per cent of small business owners and managers on holiday are unable to switch-off from thinking about work, according to research by a Borehamwood firm. Bibby Factors Borehamwood says that 38 per cent of respondents checked their emails and took business calls, while on the beach, and four cent returned home early to deal with work issues. The investment firm's advice to small business owners and managers includes: effective planning ahead, briefing staff and considering using an "office sitter" if they are a sole trader.
