Visitors will be given the chance to find out about life as a firefighter during a special recruitment workshop at Borehamwood Fire Station next week.
The event is designed to encourage more people to consider joining the Fire Service, in particular women and people from ethnic minority groups.
During the morning participants will be able to ask questions, practice using equipment and test their fitness against the Fire Service standards.
The event is open to people aged 17 or over, and should appeal to anyone interested in a full-time or part-time career with the county's brigade.
The workshop will take place on Saturday, March 3, between 10am and 12 noon.
