A Shenley woman is taking part in two events to raise money for Cancer Research UK this year the London Marathon and the Chelsea Flower Show.
Jane Hudson and her husband Erik De Maeijer, from New Road, are designing a garden to be included in the flower show in May, and she is currently training to run in the London Marathon in April.
The garden will help the charity to raise its profile, and this year's marathon will be Mrs Hudson's first. "The training is going really well.
"I have got a schedule from someone who once won the marathon, and I am sticking to it."
Mrs Hudson aims to finish in less than four hours, and hopes to raise at least £2,000 sponsorship.
