Further A1(M) closures for maintenance work announced

There will be several closures on the A1(M) this week, so that maintenance work can be carried out.

From 9pm tonight (Tuesday) until 5am tomorrow, the A1(M) northbound junction 6 entry slip road to Welwyn will be closed and a diversion route will be in place.

This is so that electrical works can be carried out on behalf of National Highways.

From 9pm on Thursday until 5am on Friday, there will be a carriageway closure between junction 6 (Welwyn) and junction 8 (Stevenage) of the A1(M) northbound, so that horticultural work - cutting and planting - can be carried out. 

Then, from 9pm on Friday until 5am on Saturday, there will be a carriageway closure between junction 8 and junction 6 of the A1(M) southbound. This is also for horticultural reasons.
