Families heading to Willows this Easter have twice as many reasons to visit as the leisure attraction near St Albans hosts two special events back-to-back over the school holiday period.

Launching on the weekend of Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24, before returning for the Easter weekend — Good Friday, March 29 to Easter Monday, April 1 — the farm’s 'Easter Extravaganza' event is a choc-o-bloc programme of eggs-cellent entertainment.

There will be an Easter Egg Hunt in Willows’ Easter Garden, where eagle-eyed little ones can collect play eggs in eggs-change for a chocolate-y treat.

The Easter Bunny will be making regular appearances throughout the day, while the Easter Grotto, featuring perfect springtime backdrops for some special social media moments, returns for another year.

And then, as if by magic, once the Easter Bunny has hopped back to his burrow, Willows kicks off its 'Magical Adventure' event on Tuesday, April 2 for the remainder of the school holidays.

The 12-day spectacular — which runs until Sunday, April 14 — is set to bewitch visiting families looking for a spellbinding day out.

Little ones can look forward to some 'Alakazam-tastic' fun at the Magicians’ Academy with a magic wand and certificate for every budding sorcerer who takes part.

There will also be a magic hunt around the farm park, with a prize for everyone who completes the challenge, enchanting arts and crafts and a new Magic and Mayhem Show with special guests Joe Banana and Bam Bam.

Lyssa Elster, chief executive at Willows Activity Farm, said: “With the Easter weekend at the very start of the school holidays this year we decided to get our Easter celebrations under way early to make sure families didn’t miss out on the chance to meet the Easter Bunny and take part in a traditional egg hunt.

“Following Easter Monday, the team will be working their magic to get the farm ready for our Willows Magical Adventure which starts the very next day.

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming families to both our events over the holiday period, which are set to be both eggs-citing and spellbinding days out.”

In addition to the special seasonal events, Willows has non-stop entertainment for the whole family every day of the school holidays with the Puddle Play Park, bouncy pillows, PETER RABBIT™ Adventure Playground, Peter Rabbit shows throughout the day, The Farmyard animals, funfair rides and Tristan the Runaway Tractor.
