Dinosaur fans can come face to face with a Tyrannosaurus rex, Velociraptor and Triceratops at Willows Activity Farm this half term.

The family farm park in Coursers Road, London Colney, kicks off its Dino-Ventures Week on Monday, May 29.

The Jurrasic reptiles will be making appearances throughout the day in the outdoor arena as part of Willows' prehistoric celebrations during May half term.

There will also be fossil hunting where budding palaeontologists can dig in the Big Dig sandpit to find a fossil to take home.

Lyssa Elster, chief executive at Willows Activity Farm, said: “We absolutely love dinosaurs at Willows, and we can’t wait for our visitors to meet them.

“We’ve planned a week of prehistoric fun including a dinosaur hunt across the farm, Jurassic arts and crafts, and the new Dino Den filled with stunning Instagrammable photo opportunities and scenes created for a roar-some time.

“And at the end of each day we have a Dino Disco taking place so littles ones can party like it’s 99 million years ago.”

The interactive Dinosaur Encounter show takes place eight times a day where visitors will be able to see the Cretaceous creatures with their handlers and watch live as the giant reptiles have their huge teeth cleaned.

There will also be different baby dinosaurs to meet up close in special shows about the prehistoric hatchlings.

Lyssa added: “As well as a jam-packed programme of Dino-ventures this half term, we also have all the usual Willows farm fun for visitors to look forward to including the Peter Rabbit™ Adventure Playground, Peter Rabbit shows throughout the day, The Farmyard animals, funfair rides and inflatables, Tristan the Runaway Tractor and the Puddle Play Park.”

Dino-Ventures Week takes place between May 29 and June 4. For more information, go to www.willowsactivityfarm.com.
