The revelation that the MAMAA charity is facing closure will come as a blow to many families.
Since founding the group 15 years ago, Lyn Costello, a Borehamwood mother-of-seven, has worked tirelessly to support families of young murder victims. The organisation has strived to find a solution to the problem of youth violence by working with schools, young offenders, police and the Government, so that everyone can benefit from a better society. At a time when murder and violence committed by youngsters is becoming an ever-increasing problem, a group such as MAMAA should not be left to struggle because of financial problems.
