Prime Minister hopeful made a visit to a religious temple near Borehamwood last week.
Rishi Sunak and his wife celebrated the festival of Janmashtami at Bhaktivedanta Manor Hare Krishna Temple in Letchmore Heath.
The event is an annual Hindu festival marking the birth of Lord Krishna and draws tens of thousands of people.
During his visit, Mr Sunak toured the temple manor, which was donated by George Harrison.
Mr Sunak said: “It’s been a tough campaign, but during the most difficult times I’ve been given the teachings of the Gita, and it’s been the Gita that’s given me the strength to keep fighting for the things I believe in.”
His visit culminated in feeding some of the manor’s 65 cows.
Temple president Her Grace Visakha Dasi said: “We invite everyone to experience the hospitality of Bhaktivedanta Manor and the spiritual oasis it offers all our guests.”
