Firefighters in Hertfordshire will wear ribbons in memory of fallen colleagues on Sunday. The Fire Service Benevolent Fund has organised British Firefighters Memorial Day to remember the 2,202 British firefighters who have died on duty since 1723, and the New York firefighters who died on September 11.Members of the public are asked to support the day by buying ribbons at £1, in aid of the fund.
