"Despicable" TikTokers have been warned they may be asked to leave cinemas after groups of teenage moviegoers have filmed themselves causing carnage as part of a viral trend.
The trend involves large groups of teenage boys, who call themselves The Gentleminions, going to watch Minions: The Rise of Gru dressed in suits and often causing chaos while watching the film.
Some cinemas have now banned teenagers in suits arriving unaccompanied at screenings, as they may indicate the possibility of rowdy behaviour.

A spokesperson for Cineworld said: “All minions are welcome in our cinemas, but any who partake in despicable behaviour will be asked to leave if they disrupt the enjoyment of others.”
Vue have also confirmed they are still welcoming all customers.
Vue has been contacted for comment.
It is not clear where the trend originated but the #gentleminions videos have spread across the world online, with teens filling bins with bananas to snack on the minions' favourite food and copying the Despicable Me franchise’s characters.

In many instances of the trend, groups of teens simply put on an elaborate show of loving the film but others have caused disturbance.
