A stylist says it is a "dream come true" after she won a national hairdressing award
Amy Best from Best in Beauty in Radlett saw off competition from all over the UK and Ireland to win a GLammies by Great Lengths award.
Now in its 10th year, the GLammies recognise and celebrate the craft, creativity and business of hair extensions.
Amy took the trophy in the 'salon of the year' competition at the event held at The Steel Yard in London on March 21.
She said: "Winning a trophy at the GLammies is a dream come true. Extensions are my passion and I’ve worked hard to get to this point in my career.
"There are so many incredibly talented people working in this industry, so to be named as a winner is a huge honour. I’m delighted to be bringing this trophy home to Best in Beauty Radlett."
In addition to a glittering GLammies trophy, Amy and all other winners receive tickets for a tour of the Great Lengths production factory in Rome, with two nights five-star accommodation, meals and internal transfers for two people.
Joscelin McCourt, chief executive of HB Collective, which is home of Great Lengths hair extensions, said: "In winning this award, Amy has demonstrated creativity, passion and precision, as well as a talent for their craft which is unparalleled.
"Amy should feel incredibly proud to be recognised for all they have achieved in reaching this level."
