Police have announced the community issues officers will be putting extra focus on over the next three months.

The latest priorities for Borehamwood and the surrounding areas have been set following feedback from the public.

Hertfordshire Constabulary says a dedicated team of police constables and police community support officers from its safer neighbourhood team in Hertsmere will be addressing short and long-term neighbourhood concerns.

In Borehamwood, there will be a particular focus on tackling anti-social behaviour in and around Paxton Court off Manor Way.

Police say residents have reported groups of young people congregating in the area, low level drug use and general noise, nuisance and damage.

As a result, officers will be stepping up patrols in the area, engaging with the young people, as well as working with a housing association to address the issue.

Meanwhile, officers say they will also crack down on anti-social driving and car meets occurring during evenings in and around the Morrisons supermarket car park.

Over in Radlett, officers will continue to clamp down on off-road bikers who have been causing a "nuisance" in the areas of North Medburn Farm and Oakridge Lane.

Elsewhere in Hertsmere, Moatfield Park in Bushey will be more closely patrolled due to concerns about off-road bikes and e-scooters while patrols will be increased in Oakmere Park in Potters Bar due to incidents such as assaults, robbery, anti-social behaviour, and public indecency.

Safer neighbourhood inspector Rachael Robertson said: "I’d thank people for taking the time to let us know what issues they would like us to focus on. If we know about it, we can work to tackle it.

"Whilst these are reviewed every three months, you can let us know at any time if there’s an emerging issue in your area.

"It’s important to note that some comments we receive are about things that aren’t police matters, such as parking and litter, however we do pass these comments to our partner agencies, such as Hertsmere Borough Council so that they are aware and can look to tackle them."

The public can tell the police about the issues they'd like officers to focus on via Hertfordshire Constabulary's Echo platform and following the relevant link to the particular town or village of concern.
