Police seized a large amount of cash after raiding a property in Borehamwood.

Officers searched the address in Kensington Way on February 2 as part of a wider nationwide investigation into courier fraud.

Hertfordshire Constabulary says £10,000 was found, with a separate raid also taking place in Edgware.

A 30-year-old man from Borehamwood and a 23-year-old man from Edgware were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and money laundering.

They have since been released under investigation while further enquiries are carried out.

The warrants were carried out in partnership with Avon and Somerset Police, Dorset Police and the Metropolitan Police.

PC Paul Norman from the Hertsmere Operation Scorpion team, which works to tackle serious acquisitive crime and drug related offences, said: "Organised crime groups are responsible for the supply of illegal drugs into this country and their work causes significant harm to some of society’s most vulnerable.

"This includes using children as drug runners, forcibly taking over people’s homes to create a base to conduct their drug dealing (also known as cuckooing) and taking advantage of vulnerable addicts.

"We will continue to work relentlessly to target those involved in the supply of illegal drugs in Hertsmere. If you have information about suspected drug dealing in your neighbourhood, please do not hesitate to get in touch so that we can take the appropriate action."
