Vandals broke into a golf club before causing thousands of pounds worth of damage to its new TVs.

Hertfordshire Constabulary has launched an appeal over the incident, which occurred at The Hertsmere Golf Club (formerly Radlett Park Golf Club) in Watling Street.

The force says vandals broke into the club around 6pm on Monday, December 13 last year and a golf ball dispenser machine was opened.

Golf balls were then thrown at four brand new 65inch flat screen televisions.

The vandals left the site across the golf course and towards Borehamwood.

Officers have now released CCTV images of people who they think could help their enquiries.

PC Darren Arbuthnott, who is investigating, said: “The damage caused was worth thousands of pounds and it’s been particularly frustrating for the club as the TVs were brand new and part of their recent refurbishment.

“We believe those pictured were in the area at the time and we’re keen to speak to them as they might be able to help our enquiries. If you recognise them, or have information yourself, please call the non-emergency number 101 or email me at darren.arbuthnott@herts.police.uk quoting crime reference 41/98052/21.”
