Police are investigating an assault on a security guard at the Tesco supermarket in Borehamwood.

Hertfordshire Constabulary says the guard sustained slight injuries during the incident which took place at around 2.45pm on Sunday January 16.

As part of enquiries into what happened, police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify as it is believed he may be able to assist with their investigation.

PC Jack Wildgoose, who is investigating, said: "It is believed that the man pictured was in the area at the time the incident took place, and may be able to help with our enquiries. If you recognise him, please get in contact.

"Alternatively, if you witnessed the incident taking place or have any information that may assist with our investigation, please report it."
