A 16-year-old boy was pushed down an escalator in Atria Watford causing him to suffer multiple cuts.

Police are looking into the assault outside Next, on the upper floor inside the shopping centre, at around 1pm on Friday (January 14).

It was reported that a 16-year-old boy was pushed down the escalator following a row with two males, causing him to sustain multiple cuts to various parts of his body.

PC Jessica Tanseli, who is investigating, said: “Enquiries are continuing at this time to establish the circumstances around what happened, including reviewing CCTV footage.

"As part of our investigation, we’d also like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or the events leading up to it."

She added: “We’re particularly keen to hear from a dark-haired female who was in the area at the time, as she may have vital information.

"She was wearing dark clothing and carrying a bag."
