Police have released a CCTV image of a man who might be able to help with their enquiries following a bike theft in Borehamwood.
A white hybrid bicycle (Giant Escape 3) was stolen from the grounds of Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council in Brook Close on December 23.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says it was taken between 8.45pm and 9.10pm.
PC Rob Jowett, who is investigating, said: "We believe the man pictured was in the area at the time and he could have vital information that might assist our enquiries.
"If you recognise him, or have information about what happened, please call the non-emergency number 101 or email me at robert.jowett@herts.police.uk quoting crime reference 41/100918/21."
Meanwhile, a black Carrera bicycle and a blue Ammaco bicycle, which are believed to have been stolen, were found abandoned at the same time it was realised the white bike had been stolen.
The white bike remains missing.
PC Jowett added: "I would like to take this opportunity to remind residents of the Bike Register database. By adding your bike at www.bikeregister.com, it means we are in a better position to return your bike to you if it is recovered after being stolen.
"You may also like to consider security marking your bike, which acts as a visible deterrent to thieves."
