A motorist was reportedly left "fearing for his safety" after an argument broke out on a petrol station forecourt.
Police say the incident happened on Thursday November 4 at the Asda petrol station in Allum Lane in Borehamwood.
At around 1pm, it was reported the male drivers of a white Jaguar F Pace and a silver hatchback were involved in a verbal altercation.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says no one was hurt in the confrontation but one of the men told police he was threatened verbally causing him to fear for his safety.
Police have been trying to track down the other driver with PC Laura Bruckner, who is investigating, stating all current lines of enquiry to find them have been "exhausted".
She added: "I am appealing for anyone who saw the altercation, or the events leading up to it, to please come forward. If you were at the petrol station at the time, it’s highly likely you would have seen what happened."
Anyone with information is asked to email PC Bruckner at laura.bruckner@herts.police.uk or report information online at herts.police.uk/report, or call 101 quoting crime reference 41/86281/21.
