A man from Epping who attacked a police officer in Borehamwood has been ordered to pay more than £700.
Lee Edwards, of St Helen's Court, was accused of beating the cop on January 7 last year.
He denied the offence at St Albans Magistrates' Court in July 2020 before being found guilty on October 4 this year.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report and he was then sentenced on Monday, November 15.
The 46-year-old was given a three-month community order under electronic monitoring and a curfew requirement.
He was also made to pay a total of £720 in prosecution charges.
