Detectives investigating a burglary in Borehamwood have released images of some of the stolen items, in a bid to trace them and return them to their rightful owner.

On Friday June 11 between 3pm and 6pm, a property in Reston Path was broken into.

A search of the home was carried out and several items of jewellery were stolen.

This included two gold chain necklaces with S hook clasps, a pearl necklace, jade pendant (all pictured), and a silver pendant with matching stud earrings (necklace pictured)

A small gold baby bracelet and a silver heart-shaped pendant with an inscription saying "always my sister, forever my friend" was also taken.

Detective Constable Vicky Sexton, who is investigating, said: "The stolen jewellery is of enormous sentimental value to the victim. Perhaps you recognise it, or you have been offered it for sale or seen it listed online? If you do have any information relating the stolen pieces, please get in touch.

"Alternatively, if you were in the Reston Path area on that Friday around the times specified, and believe that you may have witnessed some suspicious activity, please get in contact with me as soon as possible. Any information, even something that may seem relatively minor or insignificant, could be key to progressing the investigation."
