A primary school was transformed into a temporary farmyard last week after a visit from a loving range of animals.
Pupils at Parkside Community Primary School in Borehamwood welcomed chickens, goats, pigs, lambs, donkeys, ducks, and three dogs as part of their 'Farm Week' event.
Despite the gloomy weather, the aptly-named Ark Farm went down a storm with the children, who were given the opportunity to hold and stroke the animals.
A pen was set up within the grounds of the school showing the farm animals mingling together.

Farm Week at Parkside enabled the pupils to take part in workshops on farming, including a webinar with a farmer from Spain.
Pupils have been working on gardening projects and there was even a spot of scarecrow-making.

For the final week before half-term, as part of a series of events designed to immerse the children in different ways of learning, pupils took part in line dancing in the school hall and even held a game of Quidditch out on the fields.
