It’s that time of year again when we get to see a flurry of adorable baby animals with cheeky names popping up.

Whipsnade Zoo, a favourite haunt of wildlife-lovers in the county, has recently welcomed an array of new arrivals including a baby saki money, a yak calf and a litter of woolly Mangalitsa piglets.

There is also an as-yet unnamed baby white-faced saki monkey, born to mum Kaituma and dad Milagre, as well as Joey the wallaby who spends much of his time cosy in a pouch.

Check out some pictures of the adorable newcomers below.

Animal manager Matt Webb said: “After such a difficult year, seeing the zoo filled with people, as well as new life, feels like just what the doctor ordered.

"We’re looking forward to safely welcoming back many more visitors and members over the spring and summer, so it’s lovely that there will be brand new animals for them to discover upon their return.”
