SOUTHEND United had been due to add another midfielder to their squad this week, only for their target to test positive for coronavirus.
Blues are keen to replace James Olayinka in the centre of the park following the on loan Arsenal man’s ankle injury.

The Shrimpers now also have fewer options in midfield with Alan McCormack suffering a calf injury during Saturday’s defeat to Mansfield Town.
