SOUTHEND United boss Mark Molesley insists he has a long-term plan for Louis Walsh.
The 20-year-old winger has failed to make the Shrimpers' last two matchday squad.
But Molesley feels Walsh is working hard to force his way back into contention.
"It’s been tactical but Louis is working hard and pushing all the time," explained Molesley.
"We want competition for places and we’ve got a long-term plan for him too.
"He’s looking to have a short-term impact as well so we’ve got people chomping at the bit and it’s keeping people on their toes which is what you want."
