Two people have been arrested and drugs and weapons seized after a police operation at Gravesend station.
Officers from Bexley MPS, Kent Police and London's British Transport Police were deployed to the north Kent station on Saturday evening (January 16) under Operation Avara.
Kent Police Tactical Operations described the sting as a passive drugs operation, and police made use of canine colleague PD Piper.
They said that "through the effective use of Stop & Search, quantities of drugs and weapons were seized."
Bexley MPS added that two people were arrested and taken into custody, one for possession of a knife, the other for possession of drugs.
Operation Avara has been a long running joint operation targeting criminal activity on the transport network of south east London and north Kent.
Over the last year, the operation has seen officers, police dogs, weapons arches and covert police deployed to major transport hubs in the region, with over a hundred arrests made.
Last week, six people were arrested after a deployment to Woolwich Arsenal DLR.
