A man has been charged with attempted murder by detectives investigating a shooting.
Emergency services found a 16-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest near Ripon Park in Borehamwood at around 10.50pm on Tuesday August 4.
He was rushed to hospital with injuries that were deemed to be life-changing.
The teenager remains in hospital at this time.
A police cordon was set up around Ripon Way, Manor Way and Cranes Way at 10.50pm on Tuesday, August 4 and it remained in place for nearly two days.
Detectives investigating the shooting arrested a man on Wednesday.
Yesterday (Thursday), Hertfordshire Constabulary charged a 23-year-old man with attempted murder and possession of a firearm.
Sean Price, 23, of Ipswich, Suffolk, is set to appear before Magistrates Court today (Friday 14 August) via videolink.
Witnesses to the incident are still being sought.
