Watford FC players committed the third highest number of fouls during away games in the 2019/20 Premier League season.
That is according to figures from Compare.bet, who used official statistics from the Premier League to see which teams committed the most offences when playing at opponents’ ground during last season.
The figures show that from 19 away games, the Hornets committed a total of 261 footballing transgressions on the pitch – the third highest out of all 20 teams.
Southampton were second highest, having committed a total of 284 fouls, while Everton committed the most offences – 293 – the figures showed.
Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Manchester United, and Sheffield United also all drew the referee’s whistle over 250 times each for unsportsmanlike offences made during away games.
Premier League champions Liverpool committed the least fouls with 202, the figures showed.
They also revealed that Watford on average commit a foul every 7 minutes and 40 seconds when playing at opponents’ ground.
