Harry Potter tour in Leavesden is reopening later this month

Muggles will be able to once again visit the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter from August 20 following the coronavirus lockdown.

The studio tour, which is based in Leavesden, closed back in March as the UK went into lockdown because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

But people will once again be able to enter the wizarding world in just under two weeks’ time – and several safety measures have been introduced ahead of visitors being welcomed back.

This includes the Harry Potter studio tour opening with a reduced capacity to encourage social distancing.

A one-way system will also be in place, with there being additional signage and floor markings to help people keep a safe distance from one another.

Hand sanitiser stations have also been positioned throughout the tour, while some facilities or areas may be unavailable to limit physical contact and maintain social distancing.

All visitors aged 11 and up are required to wear a face mask or covering during their visit, unless medically exempt.

Tickets must also be booked in advance and are not available to purchase on site, while visitors will be asked to use cashless payment methods at the tour.

Enhanced cleaning of the studio tour will also take place throughout the day focusing on touch-points such as door handles and barriers.

A statement on the Warner Bros studio tour website read: "The safety of our visitors and colleagues is our number one priority.

"To help keep everyone safe, we’ve implemented a number of measures and changes to the Studio Tour experience. The updates are designed to prioritise social distancing and enhanced cleaning.

"While the studio rour experience may differ from previous visits, we’re looking forward to welcoming you back into the Wizarding World for a magical day out."
