Police were called to reports of an assault on a parking warden yesterday.

Officers were called to Watling Street in Radlett at around 4.50pm on Wednesday.

It was reported that a Hertsmere Borough Council civil enforcement officer was talking to the driver of vehicle when he was allegedly assaulted by a man who was walking through the village.

The officer did not sustain serious injuries or require hospital treatment, police say.

Police attended and say a 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault (ABH).

He remains in police custody.
