Wycombe MP Steve Baker praised the 'difficult and sensitive' work carried out by Thames Valley Police after a major investigation saw over 140 officers raid homes across High Wycombe.
Police swooped on the unknown properties yesterday morning, arresting five men in connection with child sexual exploitation.
Speaking on the operation, Mr Baker said:“This is another example of the difficult and sensitive work our police officers must carry out.
"All good people understand serious offences must always be investigated.
“I hope local people will have regard to the safeguarding of the victim and the integrity of the investigation if commenting.
" Nothing must be allowed to divert the course of the law.”
Leading officers in the Wycombe are have also spoken on the raids.
Superintendent Emma Burroughs, LPA Commander for High Wycombe, said: “We are aware that there might be concerns following these warrants in the community, we are liaising with our community partners, if you wish to raise any concerns please speak to one of our neighbourhood policing teams.”
