Welcome to this week’s Whitchurch Herald Camera Club and we have some crackers for you this time out.

But thanks once again to all those who have contributed to the Facebook page and sent in your pictures for our chance to use them and, as ever, you can head to the Camera Club page to see those that didn’t make it onto the page this week.

We’ve heard there’s a bit of a buzz about the top left of the page with Brian Roberts getting close to see the colours of a wasp’s back while below that is a busy bee carrying pollen courtesy of Poppy Hill.

Next to that we have possibly one of the flowers that bee from Poppy may have stopped at with Caroline Barrett’s superb shot of a prickly Scottish-style thistle.

The skyline in the background shows a mix of the weathers with sunshine and rain clouds.

Laura Butler is next up and she managed to catch Hanmer Church bathed in late summer light as the clouds come together to make a superb sunset.

Next up is Gary Crawford’s curious cat, seemingly awaiting his lunch.

Then we have an opportunistic effort from Louise Shakeshaft who had a camera on hand when a rainbow appeared.

And saving one of the best shots of the week until last, Carl Wynn’s picture of a moody Mere is fabulously atmospheric – and highlights just how great our Club crew are when they have a camera to hand.
