A MAN has been charged following an armed robbery at a convenience store.
Police were called to the Three 2 Four in Western Road, Brighton, in the early hours of last Friday after reports of a knifeman entering the shop and demanding money.
Simon May, of Oriental Place in Brighton, has been arrested and charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
The unemployed 35-year-old has also been charged with robbery in connection with an incident at the Co-op in Old London Road, Brighton, on March 1 last year.
He is due to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court today.
